We might as well start here.

In the words of dead newscaster (and Velva native) Eric Severeid, North Dakota is "a large rectangular blank spot in the nation's mind."

For the 99 percent of everyone who have the same concept of the place, they now have this to help fill the gaps in their North Dakota knowledge. Whatever happened to comfortably dull Lutheranism and Catholicism? Apparently things have changed around Devils Lake (former abode of the Satans).

Plus, a Washington Post article, including prayer before a life-size George Bush cut-out. Also misspells Devils Lake. Lazy East Coast solipsism.
